Stuck on Egyptian Themes and dreams

When I saw this I squealed!
This is the perfect box for my treasures.
I had to have it as it fits the theme for my dining room.

I received this beautiful rug from a dear friend, MuJa. It is perfect with my curtains for my work room.
I'm finding this the hardest room to decorate, but it may be that I've placed it in the wrong room in my house. I will ponder my feelings and think carefully before deciding.

A lie down will help me to think.
She promptly fell asleep and began to dream.

I remember when you were first born, Rivenaugh.

You bowed low and begged for my freedom.

But Queen Heffanhough was adamant.

I pleaded for you before my advisor.

But they made me transform into my new persona, changed my name from Kiraschoyna to Kirscha, clipped my wings, reduced my powers and sent me to a land to learn a new language.

We can meet in my dreams dear Rivenaugh, but one day I vow you and I shall be together again. I'll find that evil witch and see that she's brought before the court to give an account of what she truly saw.
My darling Rivenaugh, I love you still, but I must remain here and you must not seek me yet. I believe there is great magic here. I will be patient and discover it's source and do all I can to find favour. One day, we shall be re-united.

One day, I promise!

Egyptians again

Ta-daah!

Yes, finally the beautiful wallpaper for the Dining Room has arrived and it is perfect though I need more. The seller is ill, but I'll order more when she returns to work.

All these decisions are making my head hurt, but...

I'm getting there. I must get the fabric together for the curtains and then contact my designer about making them.

It's so nice to just sit down after making the decisions. I used to have others to make these decisions and I just enjoyed their efforts. But it's good for me to work. It's character building, isn't it?

I wanted you to see the full scene. The problem is that a lot of this will be lost if I put it on the back wall, but if I put it on a side wall, do you think it would look strange? Or should I buy another sheet and have it on both sides of the room? Oh no, I'll be giving myself another headache at this rate.

I need a hug, Rivet. I don't care what that Hoomahn says about the banishment, I need you right now.
I'm probably dreaming again.

Invaders

The Daisy Cottage
Empty and ready for...

INVADERS!
Boo!
Rivet, get down here and btw you didn't scare me.

I didn't! I'm losing my touch.

Boo!
*giggles*

*Lots of giggling.*
Stop snuffling on me, it tickles and just come in.

It's a bit small for a door. *humpff, grunt*

There's space to play in here.

What shall we play?
Hide'n'Seek?
There's no where to hide, what about...

*cough*

Who or rather, what is that?
It's a Hoomahn. I've met her since living in Taw Wood. Remember her now?
Oh yes, the one that thinks I eat out of her hand.

*Humpfff* I'd eat your hand!

Excuse me you two, but you aren't allowed in here.

Why not?
Why not?

Because, one, this isn't your house or playground.
Two, this isn't your time or rather you aren't allowed to see each other in Kirscha's time. Remember the banishment? The rules about being separated?

Yes.
Yes.
I see you remember. Good.

Now shoo before a certain glowing night Faerie turns up. She'll have your guts for garters.

Shuffle, shuffle, mutter, mutter.
Just when we were having fun.
I know...

*soft snuffling noises*

*yawn*

Oh! I was dreaming.

Rivenaugh, I miss you so much!

Coving and musings

Bohdan and I discussed coving. We measured everything as I insisted I be involved. He wasn't keen on me standing on the ladder alone. He's so very courteous and caring.

She is valuable! I have obeyed her and not called her, Ma'am, but in all truth, she can't hide her royal blood. It shines through her. We, that is my sister Rumer and I, are very pleased to have her here, though I have noticed lately she seems a little down. Rumer says I should say nothing. She's probably right. With my size 10s I would probably say the wrong thing and crush her toes, erm... feelings.

Bohdan explained that all the mitre edges will need to be made but the final length would be cut later.

He's taken the wood away to his workshop to finish.
I have been thinking a lot about my past lately. I am finding this exile extremely difficult. Perhaps it will get easier in time. Time is something I shall have a lot of as a faerie. If only they had not also clipped my wings and diminished my powers. I am indeed paying a very high price.

~She began to sing in her own language. The sound to our ears was like a running brook and the breaking of twigs, with a splattering on dead leaves. A strange and beautiful sound that you may occasionally hear, if your ears are attuned, on a winter's day when the rain falls, because there is a sorrowful note to the tune, one that squeezes tears from your eyes in sympathy. I hope she can find comfort soon.~

Dragon door Knocker

The house is named Riven Manor

This is the hand sculpted Dragon Door Knocker. The eyes are beautiful.

Rivenaugh is the name of my dear friend, a dragon from my homeland, but if I speak of him I will cry, so I must hold myself together, but I shall never forget him. No never!

Deciding on layouts

The Kitchen
Putting the units this side of the room means there will be wires from the lights into the hall.

Having them this way puts the lights on the right hand outside wall.
The wall units are resting on the cupboards to give a better idea of the overall layout. I'm considering buying a plate rack to go above the sink.

I prefer this one. It leaves room on the back wall for a lovely red washing machine I've had my heart set on.
Please ignore the large Hoomahn! She's assisting me.

The oven shelf pulls out. Isn't that amazing? I am most impressed with modern appliances.

All the cupboards and drawers open.

This is very fine workmanship and my own fairy friends would have been proud to produce such items.

The inside of the fridge/freezer is very spacious.

The peninsual units are fully functional. I have so much space for storage. I can't imagine having them filled.

Bohdan said I needed to decide where I wanted my ceiling light in my bedroom, but I explained that I needed to decide how I was going to have the room before I could be certain.

He kindly asked the Hoomahn to help. This is the best layout for the room as I can have the bedside lights on the back wall and there's plenty of space to do a faerie dance in the morning.

That's too low. I'll be hitting my head on it.

Yes, that's better.

You are most helpful.

Should I have it like this? But the bedside lights would then be on the left hand outside wall.

Perhaps the dressing table is too near the front, but it's also near the window.

Yet I would be able to see outside while I get ready in the morning.

Or perhaps I should have the dressing table back here?

I'm not sure if I like this.

There are just so many decisions to make!

It's all giving me a headache. I think it was easier to be a student in TzaTza. *sigh*
How my heart longs to return, but that can never be. I shall just have to make an effort, but later... I'm so tired now.
